The vision, mission, goals, and core values: (Mission - To inspire, challenge, and educate students to become successful citizens. Vision - We are a community of responsible citizens prepared to achieve our potential, find our passion, and pursue our dreams) are behind everything we do. The District's Strategic Plan is our roadmap and provides direction for the upcoming years. The main focus of that plan is our district and building level goals. The goals are identified by analysis of data at each building level. Changes in delivery of curriculum and interventions are determined based on that data. As a board, we encourage and support the District's work on continuous improvement. Our job as a Board is also to hire the superintendent, establish district policy, and administer a budget. The general operations funds comprise most of the budget and remaining funds go to nutritional services, special services, special grants, student activity funds, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Planning and overseeing the budget to ensure the "basket of goods" is delivered to our student's is critical tot he process. We make every effort to accomplish this by providing the following:
a clean and safe learning environment
highly qualified teachers and support staff
technology tools and infrastructure
standards aligned curriculum
research based programs and interventions
academic organizations and athletic activities
We encourage stakeholder participation and input to improve our schools and learning opportunities of students through increased accountability. We welcome your involvement and attendance at district events and facilities, and hope to see you soon in our ever-improving district.
